Data we collect
We collect only the data needed to look after you: your name, contact details and the details you share about the ceremony (date, venue, preferences) when you write to us through the form, by email or on social media. Like any web server, the server that hosts the site records technical data about each request (IP address, date and page requested), used only for the security and operation of the site; the site does not use cookies (see Cookies).
Purposes and legal basis
- Answering requests and organising the ceremonies - pre-contractual steps and performance of a contract.
- Communicating with you - legitimate interest and/or consent.
- Compliance with legal obligations (e.g. tax) - legal obligation.
Processors
To operate, the service relies on providers that may process data on our behalf:
- JoaoDG (joaodg.pt), the studio that built and hosts this site: it receives the messages from the contact form on its servers, located in the European Union, and delivers them by email.
- Google Ireland Limited (Gmail), where our email inboxes run.
- Meta Platforms Ireland Limited (WhatsApp, Instagram and Facebook), when you contact us through one of these channels - including the WhatsApp button present on every page.
Google and Meta may transfer data outside the European Union, in particular to the United States of America, under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission.
Retention
Contact and quote requests that do not lead to a ceremony: 12 months after the last contact. Contracts, invoices and the details of those who book our services: 10 years, as required by tax and accounting law. After these periods, the data is deleted or anonymised.
Your rights
You may exercise, at any time, the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability, simply by contacting us through the means above. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of the processing carried out until then. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority, the Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados (CNPD, the Portuguese data protection authority - cnpd.pt).

In the district of Porto, this is the Centro de Informação de Consumo e Arbitragem do Porto (CICAP, the Porto consumer information and arbitration centre - cicap.pt).
